Vents... important?

The vents in the rear of my troopy (90model) that connect into the trim inside have been covered for some time, and air has just leaked around them. But I want to cap them off completely to make a new trim with a neat little pocket inside the wall right where the duct is. So if I sealed it off permanently, preventing water and dust from entering, would this have any effect on the air inside the car or is there enough gaps in my door seals now to allow for it?

Tough question.
How good are your seals?
Just remember that if your seals are any good, and the windows are closed then the demister system won't work when on the "fresh air" setting. Recirc will work as per normal

Not very. Rear doors leak like a sieve. I've considered replacing the door seals but the large door has dropped so I don't think its worth it. If I connected the vents up as standard, I'm guessing all my shit in the back will get covered in dust. Even with new rubbers in the duct.
