Engine mounts

Post by Stus_GQ »

I have to replace my front engine mounts again and think that someone said there was a mod to do before putting them back in, is this right?
95 EFI, 4 bolt mount.

4 bolt ones if fitted with the stop brackets are normally pretty good until they go soft.
On the brackets grind away where they hit on lifting to reduce noise.
Telltale marks will be on old brackets.
Normally only left hand one need changing.

If said passenger side and your in the USA I would be wrong.

So Left hand side. Look at hands whilst in drivers seat, palm facing away, Hold fingers together thumb at right angles.

The one that looks like a Capital "L" is the left side.

From drivers seat, ok. talk to the next bloke and he would say "looking at the front of the motor"

By the way I looked at soles of shoes, both had 10 written on them, that screwed that thought and maybe thats why my feet hurt some days....
