Will 80 series cruiser split rims fit a gq and/or mq patrol?

And now I will come back with the right answer, No they want (well atleast without some grinding).
The center hole is a tad to small, if you grind abit of this off they will fit no problems as all the studs line up and are the right size. You should be able to just get away with a 7.50R16 with out flares (this is the size tyre that was on the rims I tried). Not sure on 235/85R16's.

they will go on just do them up really tight drive a little and tighten up heaps again. I know this is dodgy but my mate has done it and they must of fit allright cause there was no wobbles or anything.

Thats the bit I was worryed about. We did get the back ones on all right and as you say do them up tight and they will go on and a good kick and they would probably come off. But on the front, we could just get the rim to go over the hub (that was after adjusting the plate things on the hub). But by the time the hub got some heat into it. I reckong they would have been nearon impossible to get off.
