The simplest way to achieve this would be a relay that is switched by your ignition. That's easy when you say it fast, but the trick is finding a suitable source to power the relay, and a suitable circuit for the relay to switch.

You could search near the headlight switch (in the cabin), and interrupt the headlight switching circuit, or you could search under the bonnet, and interrupt he Hilux's headlight relay coil.

This will be much easier if you can obtain a decent wiring diagram for your Hilux.

Slightly more complex than that as when you turn your headlights on, it will also power your parkers/dashlights/etc
Finding which lines power up and putting relays on them, then switching them with ignition will work, but keep in mind then you won't be able to turn on your headlights/dashlights/parkers without the key on ignition.
Also most older Toyota's switch negative lines, not power lines. So even if you interrupt the power line, the relay might still be activated. Which will cause your battery to slowly discharge.
