Sunraysia, what's the deal?

I see lots of posts about Sunraysia wheels. Is there something special about them? From what I believe I've seen, they're rather bland steel wheels, often painted white. Anyone got some pics to confirm?
Thanks,
Brent

you're 100% right. they got a good name years ago as one of the few wide wheel options to factory splitties. there wern't all the asian import copies that there are today. sunraysia's are actually rare compared to roh, speedie etc nowdays, yet they are all "called" sunraysias. they have a blue and red stripe. speedie has red and green and roh are gloss white.
cheers

Pics on my page,

They are plain, but numerous paint them black now, like bums actually..
I run them cause they are about $50-60 new.. I've bent 2 of them, had one fixed, cost me $35 to re-roll it, then was a bitch to balance, so went for a new 1.

hey that is some cool info! This tells me I have a set of 4 sunnies on my 83 MQ. Are these rims sold in the USA or other countries because my MQ never been to Aus...??

What does that mean like "bums"?? I hate them white and think they look better balck. I got a set but want 16" plain arse steel one piece rims in 7-8" width and havea set of 34" tire for a 16" rim.
To add to the thread a question....
What is your opinion on a 15" rim over a 16". Preferance? Why?

Like Bums, everyone had one.
15in tires are cheaper.
but most appear to be going to larger rim sizes...
