308 Gas setup advice

This question is related to the LPG setup in my 40.

I have never owned or run an LPG vehicle before, and need some info on the setup i have.

I acknowledge that there is a compromise to run duel fuel, but i wish to stay on this route.

Having said that, i have a 308 that has a holley 2300 500cfm carby on a standard 2 bl inlet manifold.

On top of that is this thing.."Revolutionary Mixer "

http://www.sprintgas.com.au/pgthree.html

this is fed by the reducer which is a AT90E BRC

http://www.brc.it/prodotti/riduttori_en.html

Basically i want to know if its any good, and wether or not i should put a new setup in.

The vehicle has been sitting for 3 years and has not run on LPG in that time, so i think a professional LPG inspection and test would be first cab off the rank if the setup is ok.

any suggestions appreciated..

maste of mine had one of those mixers on his 253 comodore seemed to work well tho he never ran it on petrol ever if its got a lpg compliance plate you just need to get it all checked and maby get the tank tested or get a new tank if its more than 10 years old shouldnt cost too much

If the tank is older than ten years you will need to get a new one.If it is rusted you will need a new one.If it looks like it has surface rust just clean it up or it may fail roadworthy. The best setup for lpg is the one that sits the closest to motor for good power and responce.

The system you have is quite a good one and should be fine with the engine.
Like the others said .... the tank is the main concern, retesting costs around the $150 mark and takes about an hour to do.

The tank is firstly emptied then the valves are removed and new onew\s fitted then it is tested and then the LPG that was in it originally is put back in and then a new 10 year compliance date plate is attached.

pretty good value for $150 !!!
