So after getting my lux running. Go to turn the wheel and it feels quite heavy. Is there a special way to bleed the system? Or will my steering box be buggered?

When I changed the pump/ box I
Steered it into full lock and cracked all the lines to make sure only fluid came out.
I did it left and right lock, get someone to sit in car while it gets cracked.
Try that first, if the box isn't leaking its prob the pump not working properly
It worked for me

Sometimes the pumps take a little to get started, I usually find the easiest way is to make sure it is full of oil, and then give it a bit of a rev to throw the vanes out.
Always works when we rebuild cruiser pumps at work, as long as the relief valve is correctly installed? was the pump rebuilt?
You can usually tell if the pump is pumping by taking the lid off the reservoir, the fluid will be moving even when the steering isnt being operated. will look a little like a whirlpool as the fluid is sucked out the bottom and comes back in the side.

Fixed the issue. Well I had to replace the pump. Tried cracking the lines, turning, turning, nothing. All is good now.
