Hi all, time has come to sell my hilux n get a patrol, im looking to spend about 10G so im looking for a gu i guess but have been told to stay away from the 3L motors bcuz blow up so i got told. Is this TRUE? And does any1 know of any in the brisbane area. Nedd something reliable n good on fuel .

The 3L can be made reliable but the problem is that you don't know the history of the engine. If it has Daws and blanking plate etc then will be more reliable. If you want something good on fuel then stay away from the 4.2L and especially petrol engines.
