Could you put some hubs on it. Still driving the shaft / diff etc but save your cvs and have some fun

Might be able to swap in a part time transfer case from a Hilux of similar age.
We replaced a blown transfer from a Prado and it seemed to look very similar to the blown transfer from the Hilux we also replaced.
Dunno if it will help much though, I think the Prado runs axles splined into the front hubs so you cant fit freewheeling hubs, so even with 2WD you will still be turning the front driveline, although you might be able to fit a Hilux auto disconnect front diff too.
Certainly I doubt it would come in kit form though, would be a matter of finding a wrecked Hilux and grabbing all the bits you wanted. If you got lucky you might be able to find a sympathetic wrecker that would give you free range to plunder one of the wrecks if they thought it might be something they could sell as a kit. For example I know some yard will sell complete manual conversion kits from wrecked cars, comes with everything you need flywheel to tailshaft, pedals, hydraulics ECU etc. as needed, if you did the research and this proved popular, you should be able to get a good deal.
