G'Day all,

I am looking to re-do / refresh the interior of my 2000 ST GU (series 1??) after 12 years of abuse. While I am on the look out for a good series 1-3 Ti interior, i did hear a rumour that a series 4 interior would fit, however, it would mean fitting the complete interior including the dash, consoles etc.

Does anyone know if this is in fact the case??

Cheers,

Chris.

You will need to do the complete dash, everything is different, and parts couldn't me mixed/matched from earlier models. The air vents are in the same location so ducting etc should all hook up. Not 100% on heater and fan controls and wiring looms, but everything is in the same rough location, so it would make sense it was a cosmetic upgrade only.

The sub tank switch on the 4 onwards is below the heater control panel, rather than on the rhs of the mid console section. The wiring may need to be lengthened to suit the new location?

That's the only thing I can immediately think of..... is it a 3.0, 4.2 or petrol? if the 3.0, where is the high idle/warm up switch on the earlier models?
The 4.2 is the only one with the hand throttle on the rhs below the steering column.

Hey, thanks for the info. If I do go with the series 4 interior, it will definitely be a complete change out. I am just a little concerned about paying for the replacement interior, removing the existing interior, then coming across some unforeseen issue which will prevent the job from being done. A couple of grand and more than a few days wasted......

Mine used to have the 3.0l, ST model 09/2000. Only has the drivers side airbag.

Cheers
