Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Can anyone tell me if the front and rear diff's on a 2 door rangie are interchangable, not the housings but the actual bit which bolts in with all the gears in it (I'm sure there is a proper name for it)

I killed the side gears on my original and swapped it from a spare car but it has a lot of play, the spare front axle has been reco'd so if all the gears are the same I'll just swap them over.
