2010 Prado Diesel WARNING LIGHTS

Post by Swerve »

All,

My dad has a 2010 Prado Deisel (new shape).

He's getting a computer issue were 3 warning lights come on, he says no other issues are obvious.

Toyota are saying "need to replace a blocked SGR valve that is triggering warning lights". Google search shows no such thing as a SGR valve.

Lights showing
--------------------
Slip indicator light
Malfunction indicator light
4LO light

I'm a Nissan person so not familiar with Yotas, but are they spinning crap at dad, as sounds more light a computer issue ? Warranty expires in 1 month. I'm going to call Toyoya Monday as dad does not understand half of this ?

Any input fellas

take it to a different dealership.
some are good, some are bad.
make sure its registered on the computer at toyota before warranty runs out and youll be fine.

some dealerships are crap, any brand.
lucky as toyota have soo many dealerships in sydeny ? youll have no trouble finding a decent diagnostic guy to sort it out.

As cruza said, just make sure it's logged with Toyota Australia. Maybe even call yota to enquire about it, keep a record of the date etc.
I'm not quitting drinking, I'm retiring at the top of my game - sporting comeback likely.
