Can I put a GQ RD28 into a GU RD28?

I've asked this on the Patrol 4x4 forum as well but thought I would mention it here in case some don't get over there to see it.
Okay just before I launch into the TD42 engine conversion I was planning, I want to make sure that I can't get this thing back on the road easily and economically so I would like to know if the tech gurus here could advise me how hard is it, or indeed if it is even possible, to put a GQ RD28 into my GU RD28?
I understand the fuel pumps are different but can I bolt my engine accessories to a good RD28 from a GQ? By that I mean the fuel pump, manifold and turbo setup etc.
I suspect from some advice I received elsewhere that maybe even the sump would need changing but I guess that if I could use a good GQ2.8 long motor, could I bolt my GU parts to it and drive off happily into the sunset.
If not then I'll continue with the TD42 conversion .. either way looking forward to getting the patrol on the road
Thanks in advance
