Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi all,

i've got my eye on a vehicle for sale with a 4.5" lift with full front /rear lower control arms, panhard rods, sway bar links and heavy duty sway bar. Obviously because of this it's not in a roadworthy condition.

My question is:

If you were to temporarily put 2" springs/shocks into this while retaining all other parts of the suspension, would it be drivable (to be roadworthied)? The guy is also including this in the sale. standard tyres would go back on.

what effect would the changed geometry have on the vehicle?

just change springs, shocks should be able to stay.
It will have too much caster which will make steering feel a little heavy/tight, but better than not enough caster

No worries - the answer I needed.

The shorter springs may allow for more compression, the shocks may not allow for this much compression. In others words take it easy on your way to the road worthy so you don't bottom out your shocks.

If the shocks are longer for the lift then the bump stops would of been adj to suit?

With the coils the lower ones 'might' fall out on suspension extension. Change the shocks too.
