Oil weeping from rocker cover 1HZ

Might seem a silly question but I'd rather know the cause before the cure.
I have a small amount of oil weeping from the rocker cover seal. Not dripping anywhere, but there's that nice greasy mess all around it.

Is it a symptom of a bigger problem or just a shitty gasket? I'm asking as it's only 50 000k's old and I've already tried refitting it once before. It helped a bit, but it's leaking again...

I'd try putting a fresh gasket on there, make sure you put a blob of sealant on where the cam caps sits and also re-tension all the bolts after 500 Kms, it takes a little while for the gaskets to settle down properly of they are new

I've cleaned it up and replaced it with a genuine Toyota gasket. I also put a dab of RTV silicone on each end as suggested. It seems that could well be the problem as it generally starts around there. I will check the bolts as well after a bit. I guess I won't know if I've fixed it for a few thousand k's.

Sometimes the plastic rocker cover warps too - also the genuine Toyota gaskets seem to be a bit thicker and better, although i haven't any statistical measurements to prove that.
