Troopy gearbox swap?

A friend's coily troopy (Hzj78?) has had the gearbox die for the third time, he is quite over it. It has no drive in any gear, accompanied by loud grinding clunking noise. The truck has an everyday weight of nearly 4 tonnes as measured on the dump weighbridge, it is his work vehicle, self employed, and after three boxes have expired, he is wanting something stronger.
Searching the net, it appears there is a sleeve which strips the splines, in between the gearbox and transfer case. Could be an easy fix, but 2nd gear crunches everytime, so as mentioned already, he is over it.
So, the questions are... Is the H151F a direct bolt in swap with the exception of clutch/flywheel fix ?? ie transfer (pt), driveshafts, mounts, bellhousing, wiring, shifters etc.
Is the H55F an option, he has access to a complete 1993 Hzj75rv with said tranny in it (owner wants 5k for whole car). The H55F is a stronger transmission (than R151F), is this a bolt in affair ??
Which option (including a brand new genuine transmission) is likely the best and/or cheapest way ??
Thanks, Will.
