Gday

I have a HZJ75 with a cooked engine and am looking at sourcing a replacement.

I have access to a 1HZ out of a 100 series and am wondering what differences there are between the 75 and 100 series.

After some research I have seen that I may need to swap over the sumps and the spigot bearing.
Can anyone confirm this is the case and is there anything else I need to be aware of?

Cheers,
Brett

I did exactly this conversion in my 75 and had to do the below;

Spigot bearing
Remove immobiliser module from inj pump
Engine mounts (steel bolt on sections)
Fan/clutch

Thanks Zoltan :)

Was it difficult to remove the immobiliser?
I have never seen one in the flesh and don't have a clue. :-P

Cheers,
Brett

Yep the bolts are all internal so if you don't want to strip the entire pump down you just carefully take to it with a hammer and chisel until you can access the normal start/stop solenoid under it.
