Modding a 91 Vitara 2 door.

I'm "trying" to mod a 91 Vitara.
I'm have ordered the Anvil kit and Steering Stabilizer and Truss Kit from Calmini as we are braking CV joints and the Alloy diff housing.
https://calmini.com/detail.php?b=2&m=5&t=3&p=694&n=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
https://calmini.com/detail.php?b=2&m=5&t=2&p=684&n=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
However Calmini have the Anvil on back order. So my first question
1. Should I just do the following mod? As I don't know how much longer I have to wait for the Anvil.
http://www2.zukiworld.com/feature_sidek ... rovements/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Once the front is sorted we'll be fitting ARB Lockers front and rear.
I want to fit Twin Sticks along with Calmini 4.24:1 rock crawler gears.
https://calmini.com/detail.php?b=2&m=5&t=3&p=957&n=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
2. Dose anyone know who dose the Twin Sticks for the Sidekick?

Yeah I would just go for the standard steel diff, as the big advantage is replacing the aluminium carrier with the steel one, depends what you have to pay to get one I guess. And please get rid of that paint tin someone has welded to your exhaust, it looks terrible.

Thank you mate...
Time means more then money. When I get back next week I'll try and track down a steel XL7 diff and housing. If Calmini hasn't got back to me on a delivery date time.
As for the "paint tin" unless it falls off, not really that concerned about it or the looks of the Vitara. I brought it to have fun in.

Not just XL7's, I think all manual V6 GV's have them from memory so just get one of them. The pinion mounts changed in the later models so if it's different to yours make sure you get the bracket that goes from the mount to the crossmember as the bolt holes are in the same place so it will still work.

Dose anyone have a list of steel GV diff housings that fit the Sidekicks?
O, with minimal modding that is.

All of them will fit, but none of them will bolt straight in. You will need to fit your center (the part the ring gear bolts to) and ring and pinion. That is unless you find one that has already been done, but it will likely come with a price to match.

Ok, went to the wreckers this morning and picked up a steel housing.
Unfortunately they also supplied a Alloy diff center. So will have to go back swap it for the steel one.
I'm getting ARB Lockers fitted so they have to pull the diff gears out anyway so hopefully they'll swap them from the Alloy to the steel for me.
I also picked up a Transfer Stick to see if I can get a Twin Stick set up made for me.
All up $880 for all the parts so far.

Ok, I have more questions... hehee
The Diff center I have is from a 2004 Grand.
So the mounting bracket for the diff center is different to the 91 Alloy center. This is the mounting for the 2004.
This is the 91 bracket I have.
So the question is, can I simply take the cross member bracket off the 91 cross member and bolt or weld the 2004 bracket to the cross member?

Yes, remove the existing pinion mounting bracket from the crossmember and fit the one that is on the new diff, I have read that the crossmember holes are in the same place so it should bolt straight up.

Ok so finally we have the steel case Grand Vitara diff set up in.
Compressor for the ARB lockers
Switches for the front and rear lockers.
Got the mod done so we can run 2 left CV's.
And here's the left side....

Well the lockers worked very well. In fact I'll never own a 4X4 with out lockers fitted.
However going flat out over big bumps took it's toll.
We thought the Vit was dead. But a couple of 4x4's filled with Kiwi's rocked up and well they fixed it so we could get out onto the Flynn RD.
They had everything including spring compressors. I was amazing to watch em work.
Here are the broken bits that need replacing.
Will be throwing these in. Hopefully they will take a bit more abuse. Seriously don't want the front end collapsing again....

Clearly not.
We're thinking about transferring all the mods from our 2 Door to a Grand Vitara. So dose anyone know if everything will fit? Ie: Diff's, suspension
