If you plan on jumping the hell out of the thing then it's possible.
They have a longer chassis so I can see where they are coming from.
What are the plans for it?

My jumping days are over but sometimes can get a bit ruff, looking at changing from a 4runner to a extra cab would suit me better to carry the odd oily car part and extras.
not sure if it was a ifs or solid.

All extra cab Hiluxes left the factory with IFS.

As said, that model of hilux left the factory with IFS so I would get the model after. Bit more power and more comfortable.
In terms of strength though, never had issues. Just my 2 cents.

Been thinking about putting my drive line into an extra cab or dropping an extra cab body on my frame ( will have to check if mounting match up ) or get something different
but first need to change my timing belt and get the alt rebuilt.
