Rangie Spares P/L

Under the wandin subject some notes were made refering to Rangie Spares P/L as a money hungry company who doesn't care who we rip off. Eg our supercharger kit and our famous flares for Range Rover and Discovery.
People who recieve 20% of information and spread the word in conversation as 100% are allowd to have their opinion but this opinion should never be put on public record for everybody to read. If that person does do that and the truth is NOT what they believe they may find themselves in hot water. In our case it was a blind and petty attempt at our reputation.
Flares
We started manufacturing them about 8 years ago. We used to buy the 2 door Rangie ones from one of our customers. We approached him about building 4 door sets for us which he had no interest. With his permission we did do the 4 door sets and latter the disco ones too. So I guess in a way we did copy the flares but with the designers permission. Personally I do not see the problem and if ever asked do not deny this fact which is proberbly where it came from!
Supercharger.
This one is a little bit more complex. We were looking for a s/c kit for some customers of ours. We found one and with discussions were looking at been a vic distributor. Anyway it arrived on our door step. We opened the package and had a look at what was supplied which was quite reasonable. I then looked at the invoice and nearly fell over. We soon found out that the cost of the particular s/c was about 1/4 of the invoice cost and as we were only supplied pullies, brackets and plates, no computers, fuel pressure regulators etc, I rang the supplier and queried the invoice and told them of the price of the s/c in melbourne. He refused to believe what I was telling him and wouldn't move on price re: development costs etc, etc. They must have realized I was not happy with this explanation and about 1 hour latter a freight company arrived to pick up the unit.
By this time I was quite angry with the whole ordeal. We had a vehicle stripped waiting on this kit and another guy waiting. With no kit to service our customer we built our own. We had NO intension in doing so but in the end was forced too. Yes we did use the same s/c as supplied but that is all. The rest of the kit was our own hard work. It so turned out we produced 2 kits for the price of the one supplied which included our R&D costs with fuel pressure regs as well.
We spend countless hours and money building and designing kits for Range Rovers and Discoveries. We strive to manufacture excellent products at reasonable prices. We pick up some ideas from conversation with customers, others while competing in comps and others are just our own brain childs. We keep over 13 sizes of springs for Land Rovers all with 3 Years warranty, We are about to invest about $20000.00 in a longer suspension kit using custom Bilstein shockers giving a true 2" more wheel travel just to name a few. We help everybody who contacts us with advice and if we can help great. We only give safe info and produce products along the same line. Remember our company has been running since 1979, over 23 years and our knowledge is vast. All our products have back up service and waranty. We help customers all the time and if you ring us there is a good chance I am on the phone helping somebody. I have been told many times to tape the phone to my head so I can have both hands free or to eat lunch before it goes cold. We service our clients well and this will never change.
