G'day Guys
I've just purchased a warn 8000 for the hilux and am going to install into an ARB delux bar.
Do I need to strengthen the bar at all or is the installation as easy as cutting a hole and bolting it up?

mount the winch on a rectangular plate at each side of hole . Stitch weld all around to help prevent face distorting under load or winch will sieze due to flex.
Add a couple of gussets to chassis rails.
Just remember that bar wouldnt of been load tested.

The only differance between none winch bar and winch bar (both ARB deluxe) is the holes for the winch, a strip of about 50mm x 3mm plate down each side of the winch and the bracket for the rollers. The bars brackets that bolt to the frame are identical and have about 12 bolts holding them on. This is the case for gen 3 luxes, don`t know if all models are the same.
I had my winch mounted in a non winch mount deluxe bar before I went tube. All I did was put a plate of 5mm between bar and winch and welded in a bit that went from the mounting brackets of the bar to the centre of the bar between the air holes below the centre of the winch. Had it mounted like this for about 4 or 5 years and it never moved.
