tailshaft stud?

Does anyone know if the studs (transfer case end) where the tailshaft bolts up on a 75 cruiser ute can be flogged out so i can replace with longer bolts? cheers
If they have a flat back like a wheel stud then probably.
Remove flange 1st though and sit on vice jaws etc so you don't distort flange.
