hey all, just wondering if anyone has any idea what the seal between the c/v and stub axle is for, perhaps someone has a 'step by step guide' on how to rebuild swivel hubs like the how to change springs and shocks in the bible.

ask cheezy, he kinda knew what he was doing on the last gemmy night, although one of his balls fell out and he lost it :finger: .
The seal is probably to keep grease in its location

The seal in the end of the stub axle is there to keep the grease in the needle roller bearing (axle support bearing) thats in the end of the stub axle. It also keeps any contaminants out of the thrust washer surface as well.
I'm sure the topic of rebuilding the front end has been covered before.
