Hey all, just wondering if i move my rear diff back 3 inches, i will need a longer shaft according to BJ.

Now, does any cruiser come with a shaft of that length i can pick up at a wreckers???

thought maybe a 60 or 55 or 45???

some clues here would be good.

and no jokes about the title. Everyone wants a longer shaft!

Tony Tony

move ur diff back then measure it then get Gibsons to lengthen ,easy as tho it might be cheaper to get a shaft outa a long wheelbase and shorten it as shortening is cheaper then lengthening

I needed my rear shaft lenthened but the splines were worn. I just happened to have a spare lwb shaft with good splines so had that shortened and new uni's fitted for about $115. Don't bother trying to get a secondhand toyota shaft that just happens to be the right length because chances are it won't be the right length and the splines probably will be worn. If your splines are good just get your shaft lengthened. It doesn't cost much. Otherwise try to get a lwb shaft with good splines and get it shortened.
