I have a set of 2004 GU springs, anyone know if they are the same height as factory GQ springs? i.e can you raise a GQ by installing GU factory springs. Actually I have a set of sagged ARB 2 inch raised springs at the front, was hoping the factory GU ones would lift it back up again. When sitting side by side, factory GU height seems to be about the same as GQ raised 2 inches.?? anyone agree / disagree with this??

Also left and right springs are about 1 inch different in height. Which one goes on which side. I was initially thinking the long one goes on the drivers side, but now im thinking passenger side so the car sits level on the road???

Also the GU 2004 shocks and GQ 1988 shocks are identical in size and travel.

I put my longer side on the drivers side as I accidentally put it the other way around and to my suprise it was lower on drivers side

Your GQ springs may have sagged??? explainin why the newish GU springs sit higher??

ONLY difference between the GQ and the series 3 GU are the panhards i believe in regards to suspension.

High to the right hand side .

GU springs on same engined vehicle will make gq a touch higher.

The spring that I have are off an 04 3.0l turbo diesel, mine is a 4.2 petrol.

Anyway my mates GU with standard springs, sitting next to my (not sagged) GQ with 2 inch lift, height of the wheel arches was roughly equal. At the time I thought it was because of the springs, but it may be due to body design??
