Well i finally pulled another finger outta my ass and got my draglink and tierods done 33.4x6.4 seamless shite Gq coil cab TRE's .

cost was 70 bucks per rod for machine work to machine the left n right hand 30x 1.5 threads onto the suckers ...........i prob got bout 5mm to much thread cut onto them ....... but if i have any dramas with these iwill get some 33.4 x 9.09 seamless n start again :D

Any way im wonderin the best place to mount my steerin stabiliser do i remount in my model factory posistion back to the panhard or make up a new brkt to the chassi as the earlier models have ............

Any pro,s or cons in either posi , will the difference in position do jack shite to the dampenin efffect

Just askin as if will be a benifit in a particular posi thats where i will put ...........................

I would also like some pics of the mount brkts on rigs where they do go back to the chassi in case i do go down this path ....

I realise if i change the posi i will be up 4 another dampener due to the fact mine is pin to pin type and i think the others are eye to pin or eye to eye????????

Cheers DAN

Panard to steering because as diff drops panard follows close to steering arm otherwise you might endup loseing turning circle as diff articulates .Cheers

they perform a bit firmer if you go straight to the chassis, as there is a bush at each end of the panhard with a tiny bit of movement as well as a tiny bit of movement in the bush at each end of the damper. there is already a chassis bracket on the passenger side rail, have a look :D

Wendle no brkt on my pos that i could see only the 4 open holes for the left hand models....(for the steerin box) and two small holes in the engine mount brkt ..................the entire chassi in front of the engine mount is clean :?:

So any 1have any pics Wendle i know this is how u mounted yours after u went mq knuckles ................and that Cals has it in this pos from factory but i aint got no close up pics of his truck

what year is your thing?

the 88 and early 89 had the bracket mounted to the chassis, after that, they swapped it to the panhard, but the bracket was still on the chassis. i guess they just had a backlog of chassis already welded up? i changed mine to the chassis bracket that was already there, it is just two teardrop shaped tabs on the underside of the rail.

90 mod .......................i just had a check through all my pics of your old mav bodied Rig and found 1 that where ya can just see the brkt off the rail .............now u fitted yours up with the pin to pin stylke dampener in this fittment would ya be betta off goin eye to eye so that it allows a bit more movement in the pivot points wen the axle is articulatin .......................

I have a pic of your rig just b4 gettin chopped up front and the pin on the draglink mount point seemed close to the mountin brkt on the link ,and this would get worse wen ya rig was flexin particulary with the amount it had ...(still has ;) )...............

will most prob mount in similair posi but i also gotta do the panhard raise mod to get the draglink panhard angles closer
