just a quick one regarding diesel fuel tanks, i drive my gu on the weekends only and was told its better to leave the tanks full during the week as it helps reduce moisture build up? does this sound right?

i have 180l of diesel, depending on what i'm using the 4b for this could take a least a month is this ok? does diesel have a use by?

any advice/opinions appreciated

empty diesel (petrol too) tank has large metal area for condensation to form, so a little water may get into fuel this way.

Unfortunately 2 opposing things then happen.
1. water in fuel helps algae to grow contaminating fuel etc.
2. lots of fuel stored may also allow more time for algae to grow.

2 is the better option as you are using the fuel monthly. Also diesel can go "off" (all the above) stored over 12 to 18 months depending on climatic conditions.
