hey guys my misses is lookin at buying an X90 as a run about, just wondering wat the suzuki guys opinion of them is?? its a one owner 96, auto, 70,000 kms and they're asking a neg. 10k. is that a fair asking price? any major flaws in the X90 people have found. they look like a cool little ute thing and im already thinking my old set of 31's would look really tuff. just cant make it too good or she'll start overtaking the lux off road hahaha

Hi,
From memory there's some info on them at www.wildzooks.com - the only bad thing I have ever heard about them is the targo top being prone to leaks and them being a little gutless.

You can put em on 31"s, but like all Vitaras (X90 is basically a Vitara underneath) it's a bit of work and might detract from the plan for a nice looking car for the wife to run about with.

Even a mild lift and 235/75"s will make it look much tougher and give it a lot more ground clearance without much side effects.

I posted a shot of a X90 on 30x12.5 (bloody wide) in a thread called 10" lift here if you wanna see some bling...... You can have a look at izook to see how much work it really was.

If you're gonna lift, be warned with the light weight the right springs are critical and I've tried lots of combos to get the ride right in my SWB Vit without a lot of success.

I'd say go OME or custom the first time and get it right.
