weeping tb42

Hi, i've recenlty bought a tb42 maverick and of course i needed to do some work to it. Thats ok i got it pretty cheap. One thing i needed to do was replace the radiator, and the top and bottom hoses. The old radiator was stuffed and i'm pretty sure it did not run at pressure. Now that i've replaced the radiator it is running pressurised. Pressure, Combined with new coolant which has a tendency to find weak spots in a cooling system has revealed a couple of weaps. The first is one of the hoses which runs into the carby manifold underneath, thats no dramas just mean i've got to be a contortionist and replace the hose. The second might be a problem though. It appears that it is weeping from the join at the head and block through the gasket. It is only small and is located around where the last head bolt screws down next to number 6 cylinder plug. Now should i be concerned?? it is not leaking much and i ironically have had a l28 do the same, but it disappeared and the motor is still running strong. My concern i guess would be if it was running the other direction towards cylinders or oil galleries, but i don't know the lay out of these heads. Any experineces with this sought of problem I would really appreciate.
Thanks
ps. i have cleaned it down and will run it tomorrow and look for fresh leaks..
edit..... sorry meant to ask also... removed number 6 spark plug to see how its running as i know the carby needs an overhaul... the plug base is black and the electrode white with no s&^t built up anywhere... what would be your diagnosis as to hows its running????
geese i must owe u guys some beers by now
