Stuffed drop drag link

Post by phippsy »

Bought a drop drag link and seems I have been burnt buying over the net so it's mostly my own stoopid fault but anyway I need some help.
One end is in good nick but the other, the 2 cups that lock onto the ball of steering arm are just about completely disintergrated, the screw that tightens them up was cross threaded and the thred was stuffed anyway and the whole housing is flared out where the ball goes in (looks like it was forcibly removed rather than undone correctly).
So, does anyone know if the end can be bought as a spare part anywhere?? I have contacted a couple of 4wd places and they haven't seen this happen b4. From what I can tell, it is the same type as Snake or Bigballs sell.
Thanks.

PHIPPYS i suggest geting a helicoil to fix the tread  as there is a pin that keeps the collers in place on the OEM drag link maybe you could cross drill it and bolt it to keep it in place, but onlt an idea. ;)
Lockers or Knockers ,both will make for fun.

collar hey??? there weren't any of those bad boys there when I pulled it apart, so maybe it has been reaming itself out because there wasn't anything stopping from undoing.
