sierra/vitara diff gears

gy'day boys and girls was wondering if a staight swap of diff gears is possible between vitara and sierra, have heard of sierras running 5:12 and thought that may be the vitara gears????????? :cool: Any info would be appretiated thanx!!!!!!![/i]

bingo. it's a straight swap onto a wide track sierra diff.

do a search - there was a quite a detailed write up about how to do the swap, otherwise, contact someone like Total 4wd and get them to do the swap for you (that's what i did), or, get ARB to do it for you when they are installing your air lockers for you :cool:

they don't just bolt straight in, there is some minor spacing needed for the pinion I believe, but it is supposed to be easyish, but I ain't done meself, christover

Yes james i do but hopefully not for too much longer and was wondering if i could throw them into brenda's tissue box, also feeling my way round to retain the air locker and new gears once i do get my grubby short fingered hands on a wt diff (i think brenda will notice if i pinch his)..... . Cheers to Chris and Greg for the info i shall look into it further... :roll:

I think that big steve has a spare WT housing taking up space in his shed.
