tranny worth?

what is an 86 5spd with a pto box in good condition worth?
I found one that will bolt to my SD33 but it is a long way from home and I don't know what they want due to it being an aution.

Wreckers want around the $1000 mark for a 5spd with transfer still attached,
Wreckers want around the $600 mark for just the 5 spd,
wreckers never get those figures off of me
Depends on who you ask sometimes, I know a few ppl that have been quoted in excess of $1600 for a complete 5 spd and others have grabbed em for under $300 complete, its all in the luck of the draw, or right time and right place.
As for the PTO ...... have seen em advertised for around the $200 mark.

I am not sure if the transfer is attached. Could I use my 4spd transfer with the 5spd? This 5 spd is from an 86 Patrol....I was thinking $500 tops for the tranny and PTO box without a transfer.

Transfer from your 4 spd will bolt straight up to the 5 spd ....... thats how I did my 5spd conversion !

ok thanks Kingy...believe it or not I did dig in the bible seeking the info I asked about. But after 45 mins hadn't found it!
