4.0 or 4.6 into a 90

Well looks like I have an interesting choice to make... pick a new block for the 90. The 3.5 is getting a bit old and a mechanic owes me a favour.
Should I slap in a 4.6 block (one available with 77kms) under the SU's etc from the carbied 3.5 in there now...I've had a great run from carbies and they are soo simple...
or should I install the EFI with the 4.6?
or I could go for a lower mileage (20k) 4.0 from a DiscoII
Peeps tell me the 4.0 is a nicer block but cubic capacity mmmmmm
Will stick with standard cam, but maybe port the heads and add some extractors for some easy improvements, looking for reliability and drivability - and something that will put a smile on my face...
