I am wanting to change to a different engine in my US Rocky and trying to find what engines will bolt up. Just looking for a little extra power but nothing extreme unless really great priced. I read somewhere that you could get an adapter plate made to bolt a small block Chevy up to it but never found any details on that. Is this just a pipedream or is it true? Any help is GREATLY appreciated...

JAMLAM................there's a bloke in WV whos dropping a small block V6 into his Rocky on this board (Wayne - highlander007)

I'm not too sure 'bout the detials of the particular engine, but I think he's doing the gearbox and t-case as well. Unfortunately, the Rocky doesn't have big choices for gearing and the 2:1 t-case doesn't work that well when you start adding bigger tyres.

So, give Wayne a PM or email and ask what he's doing. It's a bit difficult to say from this side of the Pacific about the different types of engines you guys get. If you want, you could probably give Marks 4WD Adapters a call, or look them up on the web, about the different adapter kits they make for different vehicles. (I don't think they have much for Ferozas/Rockys)

Good luck
