fuel consumption on 89' 4 runners?
hi i was wondering the fuel consumption of an 89 2.4l petrol 4 runner, thanks alot
how do you find the 4 runner drives on gas in terms of power?
i'm unsure of whether i should hold out and try to find a good diesel, if the LPG is going to be gutless, or just get one of the many dual fuels out there, basing my decision on fuel economy.
also, anyone know if there is going to be a big difference between the diesel and LPG in terms of fuel economy - namely Hwy and dirt road (grampians) driving?

22R 2.4L petrol, big rubber... I get about 14L/100km using Premium Unleaded.
Should get better when I do a bit of a tuneup and fix those dragging brakes
It's only done about 170,000km and should go for a while yet. I'd either drop in a nice Toyota turbo diesel or pickup a 2nd hand 22R that's floating around that's already had some work done.

4Cyl 4Runner=Gutless regardless of fuel type
But it is very good at hwy speeds, its also good offroad too..... well at least as much as you can take IFS offroad.
If you do go gas .... make sure the lines and converter are big enough to handle a Dunnydoor V6 if you ever want to change your motor.
Also get the propper gas carb ... not the little plate full of holes that goes under your carb .... they are shite they just flow a constant rate of gas regardless of throttle position
I have only got 33" tyres
