need oil for the 22R, best oil to get?

hey all, got about 100,000k's on this 22R in the bundy.. dont think its blowing any white smoke..
whats the best oil to get for it?
it will be seeing a few hard days in bush too..

Mine just ticked over to 200'000 and it is an 88...you haven't been doing the old drill trick have you??
As for oil, I run sae 20-50. Brand, what ever is cheaper (call me tight arsed if you want).

hey nick,
its got 220 on the clock, but had a reco at 118.. so yeh, its 100k old motor!
changing all the oils tomorrow..

mm there has been posts about this topic before.. (edit: on other boards
)
its not magnetic, it just has some chemical thing in the oil that makes it 'stick' to the parts..
if I can come accross the article again, I will post it!

On my Petrol road car I use Mobil 1 (pretty dear at $55.00 per 5 litres), but previous vehicl history on this stuff is as follows;
Holden Astra 385,000 km without taking off the head.
Holden Commodore VN V6 - 430,000 km. Only engine work was oil changes & spark plugs.
Current Road Car - Nissan Pulsar - 200,000km & still nothing openned up (touch wood)
As for my other petrol vehicles I have not had a problem with Mobil Super XHP.
My 4wd Prado is a diesel, so in that I use Castrol GTD.

No the Commodore was good engine wise. If the body & gearbox had kept going, I would still have her today.
