Oil drainage under the turbo.

What locations have people put them in??

Ive been told... sump.. drill it out and put the oil in there..

Is that the only option?? or what have others done???

I welded a half inch bsp socket into the sump,but put it in high as possible,cheers Bill...

There are some other spots you could use, but these would involve drilling and tapping into the block at about the same level as the regulator valve The best way would be the way Safari and others do it--braze and tap a hole into the sump.

Check out the Denco System, they use a "T" piece in there somewhere, I have an oil leak at the moment, will sus it out adn try and get photos.

Mine has the Safari drain. Its a self drilling fitting held in with an epoxy type glue. Np problems.

Oil goes into immpeller bearings and has to continue thru to remove heat. You need the less restriction you can get on drain, ie MIN 4 time the inlet pipe or more.

Can this be done with the motor in the car????? I have a two inch body lift and don't care if I have to hack the inner guards to fit the drill in but is this possible...?????

Call Safari and get part that fits into sump. Or call an ARB office and order the part there.

It bangs in and cuts its own thread. You then seal with HT epoxy

The instruction method that comes with most kits, is to drive a tapered punch through the wall and then screw in the threaded fitting. Heavily grease the tapered punch so that it picks up any metal filings and are removed when you withdraw the punch. Sounds a bit rough but it seems to work.

Is hard trying to judge where to place the hole. Want it high as possible, but too high and it picks up the folded lip on the inside of the sump.
