w00t!! just replaced my headlights cos i'd blown both sides 'normal' setting and had been driving around on highbeam...

picked up two 7" round H4 semi-sealed units, and put some narva plus 50's into it, works goooooooooood, lot brighter, and those narva's give a good white beam

easy as to do, just undo the grill, push the lights in and twist, then pull out. take off the frame around the lights (3 screws) and put them onto the new ones... slot back in, and works sweeeeeeet

and if you upgrade to a better headlight loom you will get nice white light instead of the yellow light you probably have now

i have a nice white beam now, compared to what i used to have :D can't get too much whiter than white

looms n stuff is a good idea, would be very useful to re-wire a lot of the zook, but that's waaaaaaaaay over my head, no idea what i'd be doin... and this works, so all good

i found them worse than my std. coily lights.....

used to fill with water and mud.......also the coating on the rear lifted....

have not had a problem with the coily ones....did not notice any difference between the two lightwise.....

and yes they were fitted properly....

You can buy a super loom from Piranha. i upgraded from the stock sealed to the H4 insert ones and thought wow what an improvement then i put the super loom in and it was even better. then I drove through lots of mud and water and ruined the reflective surface of the lights so now I'm back on stock lights

I got H4 inserts (the cool blue style) and they work great, have cleaned up the wireing in the zook though, gettin rid of the pathetic factory stuff. Works great, heaps better than factory.

What I have in mine is Q/H sealed beams, I have relays fitted and improved the wiring, these things are white, bright and sealed up tight,
I have stuffed too many expensive H4's by water ingress to have anyting other than sealed beams in my 4 wheel drive.
I also have a pair of 7" GE sealed beam driving lamps, and at 250 watts each I can cook toast on them :D
Sealed beams, set and forget!
Peter.
