Depends how serious you are, if you have an lsd fitted already it will help a bit with the front locker, but if you don't have one fitted, how long is a piece of string and how deep are your pockets...

Weld your existing centre
ARB in the rear
Detroit in the rear
Spool the rear
Lockrite the rear
Lokka the rear

Depending on what LSD it is you can tighten them up pretty much so they'll act like a locked set up. Of course they are more advantagous than an open diff, but as Area54 said it really comes down to what you want it for and how oftern you drive the rig... because a CIG rear is horrible on the road in the wet.

which accelerates the wear on the clutch packs, but hey it's a budget solution

ie, as long as you NEVER drive it on the road, a CIG is ok - they're not only horribe in the wet, they're horrible under all conditions, not to mention illegal and dangerous.

If you wind the LSD up enough so it is really effective off road, you might as well weld the diff up.

And your tyres will not forgive you either way.

it is a daily driver but i also like to give it a good hiding wen i take it out in the sticks: hense the need for locked at both ends. and yes i am budget i cant afford another air locker. i've heard once you tweak up the lsd you're bound to do it again in about a year? no-one gave much opinion on a spool??

spool is the same as welded, but wont break, like welds can

Yes, depending on how much you use it, read what Dumbdance said.

Toyota lsd's aren't great and winding em up wears them and tyres out quick - i tried it once.
It would be stupid to CIG or spool a daily driver

I asked a similar question about LSDs and the best answer i got was

SAVE FOR ANOTHER AIR LOCKER

i figure if yer that keen then do it , sigh, $properly
