how long should it take to fit R&P & ARB

How long do you wreckon it will take a Mechanical Work shop to fit a R&P and an ARB air locker with all new bearing and seals :?

You should be able to pick it up the same day if they know what they are doing.

thats what I thought to, I think they must get there in the morning and stand around it in a hudle and poke and probe it a bit and work out which bolt there going to take off then call it a day :roll:

it depends if it is front or rear as fronts need the hubs all that pulled off. rears are easier if full floating but still easier than fronts.

if it is a 'regular' mechanical workshop and you've asked for all new bearings, chances are they've done the work pulling/reinstalling your diff centres, then outsourced the differential work - so add in time to courier your diff, tome for the diff shope to fit it into their schedule, and the regular workshop dicking around, I wouldn't be surprised if the turnaround is 3 - 4 working days.

for a shop that knows what they're doing, if not intalling new bearings, drive in - drive out should be about 4 hours, maybe a little longer for a front. if installing new bearings, the pinion height adjustment might take a bit of fiddling, allow an extra hour. my record for a landcruiser full floating rear drive in - drive out (new carrier bearings only) is a shade over 2 hours but they are about as easy as they come.
