simex mp trekker

Anyone had any experience with these?
They are pretty narrow

I wondered if they were available in aussie, but if dude saw them on a jeep, then they might be, unless special imports.... not much chat on them.

The tyres on my Rangie look very similar to these...
But they are retreads. I'll try to get a pic.

They definately are the tyre I saw last Thursday in Moorrabin as I was sitting at the lights next to this Jeep and noticed they looked smaller that normal pedes. Thought they might be a retread but was able to read the Simex M/P Trekker writing on the side.

Sold a few in a previous life.
Great as a farm tyre or general use like an old Jeep Service.
Would make a great control tyre fo LADA control formula a few of us having been toying with for comps.

Currently have on Disco 32"*9.5" Simex. They perfrom extremely well on mud and rocky terrain Ilove them more than ever and they kick ass.
Go with the 10.5" width since they are avaialble in 32*10.5" but you will need off-set wheels.
With my stock steel wheels I had to limit my steering.
I need some feedback about the JTII perfomance??[/img]

Are they a radial or a bias tyre? I cant seem to find mention of it on thier page.

Nope. Aus Army use 'Steel Trek' made by Olympic I think.

From this it appears that the MP's are a different tread pattern to the centi which is obvious from the picture early on in the thread however seems you can get the MP's in a couple of sizes but also the centis come in a 32x9.5 tread too.

The MP Trekker only comes in a 7.50x16 and is bias ply. The Olympic Steeltrek is a radial and you can still buy them but they are not cheap. I just tried out my Steeltreks the other day and was quite pleased with the way they worked but on the way found out that wet roads aren't their thing. Still need to give them a bigger test though. I would have gone with the MP's but as I already had the Steeltreks sitting there I put them on in the end.

Have had a look at these tyres for my truck.Wide tread Ferntree Gully vic are selling them at aprox $200 a tyre.The old truck ain`t got power steering so I am sort of stuck with a narrower tyre.At least they have a fairly aggressive pattern.Hard to get that in 750-16 these days.I also have a set of Olympic steel flex on.The sure get the pucker factor up on wet tar
.There was a Olympic tyre called the treker I think,that was much more agressive than the stell flex.Pity the arn`t still around.
