Got new factory springs for my 87 ute. It used rubber bushing but springs came with steel bushing. Mechanic managed to fit new springs on, But no raise in vehicle height. measured height at front fender. Was 41''. new springs made no difference. As a matter of fact front has now sagged after 3 months to 40''. HELP! Friends' 85 & 91 measures 46'' at fender(not Lifted). Camber on new springs was about 6'' What could be the problem

Check the manual first for what the standard height is, apparently measured from ground to roof.
Then check your mates tyres, amke sure they have the same year model etc and after that I don't know.

no patrols are the same :?

They may be a different load rating.. eg light / medium / heavy duty.. they all have an effect on the cars overall height.

I think it is heavy duty based on the vin. The leaf spring, both old and new have 3 springs in the pack at the front and 5 in the back including 2 helper springs. The front is also much lower than the back.

wouldnt factory springs do nothing to lift the car? Wouldnt you need modded springs?
