I just got some pedders VL rear shocks for my Vit. They are 59cm long which is i think 8cm longer than stock. I have raised coils, and a 15mm coil spacer in the rear. I was wonering if at full stretch the spring may come out.

have you put the shocks in yet? do you know the length of your coils?

i have a 89 vitara, may be different to yours, but my rear coils are about 2" longer than the factory standard ones, and i have 1" coil spacers in too, and the coils are no where near falling out. my shocks measure 610mm extended.

coils drop out of top seat about 10mm only. so my shocks do hold the coil in.

the only other way to tell, is to go and ramp it, or test it out and see if they do fall out.

i can email you pics if you want.

Should be fine... the cressida's I was using were 630mm and I was just using lifted springs, then later lifted springs with spacers.

Sure mine could fall out but they were 40mm longer shocks.

the vl shocks work a treat, i have heaps of wheel articulation, and the spring doesnt look like falling out in a hurry
