vacume line popped off the manifold near the back fo the engine ??
find the little black lines on the drivers side firewall just left from the engine and make sure they are all connected to something.
was it working before ??
i know my mate has the same problem with his bundy he can select 4wd but ti wont engange cuase the vacume line has popped off , depends if they have changed the box and tranny when they did the engine conversion or not
If it is a turbo diesel the vacuum line should go into the vacuum reservoir tank. If it is just hooked into the manifold your 4wd will try and engage when you get positive pressure (on boost) without the button even being pressed as mine did after installing the 1J. To get over this I put a non return valve inline.
all better now!!! small vacume hose that went across the top of the engine had come off i love it when i can fix my car for free and without bashing my knuckles on stuff. cheers guys
