Are these the same size as thos on the track rod for a GQ. My drag link is bent and I am looking to replace with a heavy duty unit, but due to Nissans policy of welding the ball joints on I will need some replacement joints. Am going to use some heavy wall seamless (6mm wall) is that excessive?, will use the same for the track rod.
Cheers
Brad

I used 1 inch shed 80 for my drag link and welded the original ball joints in after cutting them out of the original rod .As for the tie rod i cut my original up got some 1 1/2 shed 80 tube slid in a small section of the original rod welded them in then just put the rod ends back in have dropped this on lots of rocks still haevnt bent it yet .Yes the tie rods are the same as the ones on the end of your drag link and also ar the same tapper as MQ ones but different thread size on MQ but ok to weld in.
Have you put the blower in yet

This was a ute extended, bit of a rough job, cheap bog and silicon was used and rust is a problem on the seams. The extension was done by Laingley's in Perth in 97 before I had it. Laingleys still do this job and cuts as well, also a couple of other firms in Perth. Used to cost about 6K, apparently recently gone up to 8K. The changed vehicle is engineer approved.
