i'm looking at getting new seats for my vitara swb.

any ideas? what have other people used? what works?

my mate told me something about either swift seats, or the swift gti seats?

any other i deas? or should i just keep my originals, and get them re-done?

thanks
steve

no you don't. I would take swift GTI seats Rodeo seats, or maybe a kingwood bench with the sticky smelly vinyl over a SASS seat.

They had a cutaway one at a shop once to "demontrate the quality of construction" Personally, after seeing it, I wouldn't trust my life to one.

personally i just prefer normal seats and wearing a normal seatbelt. its a pita trying to get in and out of a deep bucket seat when ya car is on flat ground, let alone in a big rut. and harnesses are a pita as well when you're trying to watch you tires, but you cant move cause you're strapped in so tight.

i just got some late model 2 door vitara seats for mine a few weeks back so i can still use the back seats with the exo. the 2 door seat bolts were actually wider than the 4 door seat bolts, something to do with the tilt/slide mechanism, so had to mod them a bit

Was this from someone who has done it and was it a swb or lwb?

I got some Pajero ones and they were a great size for the Vitara and had all the adjustable bits.

Any seat swap is gonna involve a heap of hassles for the mounting... so just look for the right width and support.

it may sound gay but the holden barina sri seats if u can find them.
They are really good for offroad they keep u in your seat but dont crush u plus the drivers seat has this button u push to lift it so it gives u a better view on the approach angle...
