Progressing well, Just had the starter and alternator checked. Just gotta bolt them in this weekend.

And the major drawback in the build was i purchased a GU 4.2 turbo assembly which has considerably delayed everything as im gettin new oil/water lines made up and a few other things. Hopefully turnkey stage the following weekend

Sure im scared it'll go boom, but ive done everything properly and can only hope it goes well.

Hows yours going nick??

Mine back in and running--have done almost 1000kms now, but as Bruce said :x it does have a small oil leak at the back of the engine which i think is one of the small welshplugs in the oil galleries behind the flywheel. When i was assembling mine, the piston heights on mine were a fair bit higher above the deck than what the fact specify which worried me a bit--i had one which was 0.26mm when the book mentions it being normal at 0.15.... so i used another grade 3 gasket. Anyway engine started ok after a fair bit of cranking--engine wasnt too tight. I used crappy oil for the first 100km's then flushed out and re-filled with RimulaX 15W40. Brought a timming adaptor for the injection pump today so will check timing which i THINK may be not quite right....as its a bit difficult to start when cold.

I found performance hasnt really changed a huge amount compared to before--low end and mid range torque has improved largley but top end power no difference...
