Tie Rod and rim.. how close too close?

Post by the_smoo »

i picked up a cheap set of 15 x 7's for a second set of tyres for the FJ40..

when fitted, the rim only clears the front tie rods by about 5 or so mm..

is that too close, ie would it affect roadworthy or anything like that?

aslong as they clear there roadworthy mine are prolly that far away from the rubber on the tie rod end but 10mm from the actuall metal if there for offorad only you could get a set of spacers to run them and run your other set onroad or pay the 60bux whatever to get the offset changed
