There used to be some good tracks out the back of Leanyer. I lived there many years ago and used to go crazy on dirt bikes.
Down the end of Fitzmaurice drive on the right (just before the sewage works) there use to be an enterance (creek crossing) to a good track. it goes right out through the swamps to Vanderlin Drive (near the rec park).
You could also get in there from the end of Hodgson drive.
I havent been there for about 6-7 years so i am not sure if the tracks are still there but they used to be mad in the wet season.
Oh and i have seen crocs in there as well near the mangroves so keep an eye open!
Hope it helps

jason, what tracks are you after?
or do you just want new places to drive?
at the moment, its all dry and very dusty! CRUIS'N and me went out for a drive today (12/9/04) not much to do. i think he got some pics, but pics arent working yet.
theres leanyer, about 6 or 7 hill climbs, chalk rock, clay field (for cutting sik) and no mud yet, no rain. berrimah hills, as you already mentioned, gun point, a lot of tracks, but mainly flat, and when it rains, a lot of mud! the quarry near robertson barracks has a few tracks, (pulled a hilux out of the mud there today too! theres a recreation area near the police head quaters as well, a lot of people ride bikes there.
cruis'n mentioned a trip to litchfield park, but not sure when. not enough people yet.
i go out driving every sunday, so if you want to meet up, let me know. cruis'n is almost keen every sunday, depending on the bnight before!!!
anyway, theres a few around town, but you get easily bored. i'm just waiting for the rain! love the mud.

p.s: i almost rolled my vitara today, at leanyer swamps.
was about 1" away from eating dust out of the drivers side window.
cruis'n has a short video clip of it. he's also got pics.
point is, you can always make a boring place interesting!

I know of 2 areas up there but don't know the names. Was up there for xmas last year and went out 2 the swamps and the 2nd time we went out we got stuck

Luckily we were only 50 metres from the road. This cruiser ute decided he would try and tow us out but got stuck so another cruiser winched us both out
I know theres a few tracks on a hill the back road between the city and palmerston. some good tracks in there
