performance testing GQ utes

ok heres my test ... not a real fair test cause im on bigger tyres
but any way will see what happens

we have 2 GQ utes

Bros patrol Ute
SPECS
4.2 diesel safari turbo and intercooler (12psi boost)
3" exhaust
2" lift
32" BFG muddies

My Patrol Ute
4.2 diesel safari turbo(T3 hiflowed) and intercooler (12psi boost)
tweaked injector pump and injectors and electric fuel pump
3" exhaust
5" lift
2" body lift
35" MTR wranglers

ok so we lined them up for 3 races down a unused road away from every one, roughly a 400m strip
so results are my ute wins all 3 by about 2 car lengths
but bros ute is off quicker off the mark
so hiflowing turbo and injector pump tweaking is well worth the performace in my opinion

I see that you`r having an electric fuel pump in your GQ, Hoonz, does it make a difference in power and torque :?: :?:
Do you mount it before or after the fuelfilter and is it a big capacity fuel pump :?: How much gallon per hour :?:

What was your time and speed on 400m :?:

after the rebuild when on we drove it for a bit to see what it was like
at top end it was starving and shit power we figured it was becuase
of the new fuel filter "delphi " which is a finer then standard nissan filter
so we put this on and it was 100% straight up, on a standard patrol
i don't think u'll notice the difference but a good idea to have one on some thing modifed

it only runs 7psi or some thing ... dunno how many litres it pushes
but it seems to be enough and its mounted before the filter in the engine bay

didn't get a 400m time as we were just comparing the 2 utes
i'll time it one day see what it actually does .. prolly about 30secs

You are both running different lifts and tyres sizes. The comparisom is not valid at all.

i said that ... for the tyres ...

but it still shows that theres a big power difference to turn the 35s
go catch up and go past the smaller tyres
